Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2019 Christies in London held the auction Topographical Pictures including Selections from the Kelton Collection, which included the work Portrait of H. H. the Maharaja Tukoji Rao II Holkar of Indore, seated small full-length on a cushion by George Landseer. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,499.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Other works by George Landseer have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September 2000 the work Portrait of Sir Chamarajendra Wodyar, Maharajah of Mysore, seated, half-length, in a white costume with a belt bearing a miniature portrait of Queen Victoria and a blue and gold turban was auctioned for GBP 8,812.50 (€ 14,746.00).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.499,10) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden.
