This artwork by Georges Kars achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in June 2011. In the The Hascoe Family Collection: Important Czech Art auction, the work Czech woman With Parrot (Žena S Papouškem) sold for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 9,680.25) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georges Kars achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Reiter und Flaneure im Park in May 2013 with an auction result of EUR 97,600.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 75 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Georges Kars erzielte im Juni 2011 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Hascoe Family Collection: Important Czech Art wurde die Arbeit Czech woman With Parrot (Žena S Papouškem) für GBP 8.750,00 (€ 9.680,25) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georges Kars erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Reiter und Flaneure im Park im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 97.600,00.
