It achieved a price of USD 35,000.00 (€ 28,409.09), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Inness achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sunset on the River in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 1,945,000.00 (€ 1,250,000.00).
