The work Autumn Sunset by George Inness was sold in the American Art auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2018. The result of USD 20,000.00 (€ 16,233.77) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Inness achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sunset on the River in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 1,945,000.00 (€ 1,250,000.00).

Die Arbeit Autumn Sunset von George Inness wurde im März 2018 in der Auktion American Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 16.233,77) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00.
