Auction result misses estimated price range
In January this year a collector was able to acquire the work Patzcuaro, Mexico by George Hurrell for USD 89.25 (€ 82.20). This price was achieved in the auction Discovery on Sunset at Bonhams and was even below the estimate range of USD 500.00 – 700.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Hurrell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hurrell, Portfolio I in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 4,700.00 (€ 5,538.53).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Patzcuaro, Mexico von George Hurrell für USD 89,25 (€ 82,20) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Discovery on Sunset bei Bonhams erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 500,00 – 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Hurrell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hurrell, Portfolio I im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.700,00 (€ 5.538,53).
