In June 2010 Christies in London held the auction The Nicolette Wernick Collection British Watercolours and Paintings (1800-1950), which included the work An elegant female figure on a footbridge by George Howard. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,600.58). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Howard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bordighera, which sold at auction in June 2001 for GBP 9,987.50 (€ 16,591.22).
