Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Boating on a loch by George Houston was auctioned at Bonhams in Edinburgh in October 2021. The price achieved of GBP 701.25 (€ 830.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Houston achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Springtime in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 31,700.00 (€ 40,323.79).
