In July 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction Food For Thought, which included the work Tabletop Still Life by George Henry Hall. The »bidding war« ended at USD 18,750.00 (€ 15,924.92), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by George Henry Hall have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bric-a-Brac in January this year with an auction result of USD 151,200.00 (€ 139,252.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Juli 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Food For Thought durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tabletop Still Life von George Henry Hall zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 15.924,92) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Henry Hall auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bric-a-Brac im Januar diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 151.200,00 (€ 139.252,16).
