Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by George Henry Hall could be acquired at Christies in New York in January last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the 19th Century American Art auction, the work Hollyhocks changed hands for USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,148.77) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Henry Hall achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bric-a-Brac in January this year with an auction result of USD 151,200.00 (€ 139,252.16).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von George Henry Hall konnte im Januar letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 19th Century American Art wechselte die Arbeit Hollyhocks für USD 12.500,00 (€ 11.148,77) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Henry Hall erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bric-a-Brac im Januar diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 151.200,00 (€ 139.252,16).
