Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture, which included the work Still Life With Flowers And Strawberries by George Henry Hall. The price achieved of USD 71,500.00 (€ 51,368.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Henry Hall - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bric-a-Brac, which sold at auction in January this year for USD 151,200.00 (€ 139,252.16).
