Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture, which included the work Still Life: Pink Rose In A Green Vase by George Henry Hall. Here, the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 16,250.00 (€ 11,674.69). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Henry Hall achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bric-a-Brac in January this year with an auction result of USD 151,200.00 (€ 139,252.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life: Pink Rose In A Green Vase von George Henry Hall zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 16.250,00 (€ 11.674,69) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Henry Hall erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bric-a-Brac im Januar diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 151.200,00 (€ 139.252,16).
