The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,701.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Cope achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Ace Hunter's Door in December 2002 with an auction result of USD 158,000.00 (€ 150,691.46).
