Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2003 Christies in London held the auction British, Victorian and Scottish Pictures, which included the work Sunset at Invergarry, Perthshire by George Blackie Sticks. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,292.50 (€ 1,872.35). Admittedly, works by George Blackie Sticks have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Glenfinlas, Brigg of Turk in October 2006 with an auction result of GBP 7,800.00 (€ 11,653.89).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Victorian and Scottish Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sunset at Invergarry, Perthshire von George Blackie Sticks zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.292,50 (€ 1.872,35) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Blackie Sticks auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Glenfinlas, Brigg of Turk im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.800,00 (€ 11.653,89).
