This artwork by George Blackie Sticks achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2000. In the British and Victorian Pictures auction, the work A summer day on the Cumberland Fells; and Near Tarbert, Loch Fyne, evening sold for GBP 1,997.50 (€ 3,264.83) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 900.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Blackie Sticks - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Glenfinlas, Brigg of Turk, which sold at auction in October 2006 for GBP 7,800.00 (€ 11,653.89).

Dieses Kunstwerk von George Blackie Sticks erzielte im November 2000 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. Für andere Arbeiten von George Blackie Sticks mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Glenfinlas, Brigg of Turk beobachtet, die im Oktober 2006 für GBP 7.800,00 (€ 11.653,89) versteigert wurde.
