In April 2005 Christies in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work The Snowball Fight by George Augustus Williams. The price achieved of USD 12,000.00 (€ 9,288.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Snowball Fight is the most expensive artwork by George Augustus Williams that we have observed at auctions so far.
