Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2012 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Punting At Dusk by George Augustus Williams. The price achieved of GBP 1,750.00 (€ 2,175.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by George Augustus Williams have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Snowball Fight in April 2005 with an auction result of USD 12,000.00 (€ 9,288.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Punting At Dusk von George Augustus Williams zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.750,00 (€ 2.175,82) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Augustus Williams auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Snowball Fight im April 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 12.000,00 (€ 9.288,64).
