Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2007 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art, Wildlife & Dogs, which included the work The warrener's boy by George Armfield. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 960.00 (€ 1,412.70), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Armfield achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work British A Fox Stalking Three Rabbits in December 2008 with an auction result of USD 22,500.00 (€ 16,164.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion Sporting Art, Wildlife & Dogs durch, in der auch die Arbeit The warrener's boy von George Armfield zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 960,00 (€ 1.412,70) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Armfield erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit British A Fox Stalking Three Rabbits im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 16.164,95).
