A top price for George Armfield - as previously expected
The work British A Fox Stalking Three Rabbits by George Armfield was sold in the The Sporting Sale: Equestrian, Wildlife & Maritime Art auction at Sothebys in New York in December 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 22,500.00 (€ 16,164.95) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, British A Fox Stalking Three Rabbits is the most expensive artwork by George Armfield that we have observed at auctions so far.
