The work At the hunt by George Armfield was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in December 2012. It achieved a price of SEK 24,000.00 (€ 2,795.69), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Admittedly, works by George Armfield have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work British A Fox Stalking Three Rabbits in December 2008 with an auction result of USD 22,500.00 (€ 16,164.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit At the hunt von George Armfield kam im Dezember 2012 bei Bukowski in Stockholm zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von SEK 24.000,00 (€ 2.795,69) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Armfield auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit British A Fox Stalking Three Rabbits im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 16.164,95).
