Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2010 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work At play by George Armfield. The price achieved of GBP 875.00 (€ 1,008.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Armfield achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work British A Fox Stalking Three Rabbits in December 2008 with an auction result of USD 22,500.00 (€ 16,164.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit At play von George Armfield zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 875,00 (€ 1.008,89) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Armfield erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit British A Fox Stalking Three Rabbits im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 16.164,95).
