Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Village by a River in Winter by George Ames Aldrich was sold in the American Art auction at Bonhams in New York in November last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,462.50 (€ 4,322.87) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by George Ames Aldrich have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work River in Winter in October 2003 with an auction result of USD 23,900.00 (€ 20,587.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Village by a River in Winter von George Ames Aldrich wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion American Art bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.462,50 (€ 4.322,87) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Ames Aldrich auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit River in Winter im Oktober 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 23.900,00 (€ 20.587,48).
