In the Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work Cottages By A Canal sold for USD 10,800.00 (€ 8,896.94) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Ames Aldrich - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work River in Winter, which sold at auction in October 2003 for USD 23,900.00 (€ 20,587.48).
