The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 525.00 (€ 595.72) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, An album of drawings and watercolours, the majority equestrian studies including: A sketch from the life of Bibiani (illustrated); Studies of dogs; and Studies of tack is the most expensive artwork by George Algernon Fothergill that we have observed at auctions so far.
