Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Passion Flower by Georg Dionysius Ehret was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2021. It changed hands for a price of GBP 13,860.00 (€ 16,253.72) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Georg Dionysius Ehret - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Gloriosa superba (Glory Lily), which sold at auction in June 2001 for GBP 30,550.00 (€ 50,749.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Passion Flower von Georg Dionysius Ehret kam im Juli 2021 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 13.860,00 (€ 16.253,72) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Georg Dionysius Ehret mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Gloriosa superba (Glory Lily) beobachtet, die im Juni 2001 für GBP 30.550,00 (€ 50.749,63) versteigert wurde.
