Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction A Fine Line: Master Works on Paper from Five Centuries, which included the work The Amaryllis by Georg Dionysius Ehret. It changed hands for a price of GBP 27,720.00 (€ 32,507.45) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Other works by Georg Dionysius Ehret have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2001 the work Gloriosa superba (Glory Lily) was auctioned for GBP 30,550.00 (€ 50,749.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion A Fine Line: Master Works on Paper from Five Centuries durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Amaryllis von Georg Dionysius Ehret zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 27.720,00 (€ 32.507,45) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Georg Dionysius Ehret konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juni 2001 die Arbeit Gloriosa superba (Glory Lily) für GBP 30.550,00 (€ 50.749,63) versteigert.
