Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Studies of Fountains: Six Plates by Georg Andreas Böckler for USD 1,200.00 (€ 878.48). This price was achieved in the auction The House Sale at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Georg Andreas Böckler have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Architecturae Curiosae Novae Pars Tertia [Fountains: Eight Plates|AID928624] in February 2002 with an auction result of USD 4,935.00 (€ 5,699.93).
