Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary African Art, which included the work Young People In Blue by Geoffrey Mukasa. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 9,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,485.40). Other works by Geoffrey Mukasa have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 12,112.50 (€ 14,229.07) in March 2021 for the work Fisherwoman.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary African Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Young People In Blue von Geoffrey Mukasa zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 9.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.485,40) einen neuen Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Geoffrey Mukasa haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von GBP 12.112,50 (€ 14.229,07) im März 2021 für die Arbeit Fisherwoman beobachtet.
