It achieved a price of EUR 8,820.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 26 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gen Paul achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Joueur De Guitare, Circa 1925 in April 2008 with an auction result of EUR 172,249.00.

Die Arbeit Couple dans une calèche en bord de mer von Gen Paul wurde im Dezember diesen Jahres in der Auktion Contemporary Art – online sale including ‘’A Lifetime Collection’’ bei Christies in Paris versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 8.820,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 26 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gen Paul erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Joueur De Guitare, Circa 1925 im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 172.249,00.
