Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Composition by Geer van Velde was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Auction auction at Sothebys in Cologne in April last year. The price achieved of EUR 3,528.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Geer van Velde achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Composition in October 2018 with an auction result of EUR 343,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Composition von Geer van Velde wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Auction bei Sothebys in Köln versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.528,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Geer van Velde erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Composition im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 343.500,00.
