This artwork by Geer van Velde achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in October 2021. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction, the work Composition sold for GBP 56,500.00 (€ 66,937.24) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Geer van Velde have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Composition in October 2018 with an auction result of EUR 343,500.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Geer van Velde erzielte im Oktober 2021 bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Composition für GBP 56.500,00 (€ 66.937,24) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Geer van Velde auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Composition im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 343.500,00.
