Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Gavin Turk could be acquired at Phillips in an online auction in July last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Heatwave: Online Auction auction, the work Black Jack changed hands for GBP 882.00 (€ 1,053.26) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gavin Turk achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pile in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 104,500.00 (€ 147,343.69).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gavin Turk konnte im Juli letzten Jahres bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Heatwave: Online Auction wechselte die Arbeit Black Jack für GBP 882,00 (€ 1.053,26) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gavin Turk erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pile im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 104.500,00 (€ 147.343,69).
