Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Lifeline by Gary Thomas Erbe was sold in the American Art Online auction at Sothebys in New York in October 2018. Here, the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 8,500.00 (€ 7,500.88). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gary Thomas Erbe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Those Amazin' Mets, which sold at auction in July 2020 for USD 30,075.00 (€ 25,543.57).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Lifeline von Gary Thomas Erbe wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion American Art Online bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 8.500,00 (€ 7.500,88) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Gary Thomas Erbe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Those Amazin' Mets beobachtet, die im Juli 2020 für USD 30.075,00 (€ 25.543,57) versteigert wurde.
