Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2024 a collector was able to acquire the work Texas State Fair, Dallas, Texas by Garry Winogrand for USD 1,280.00 (€ 1,118.69). This price was achieved in the auction Prints & Photographs at Bonhams in Skinner Boston and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Garry Winogrand achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Women Are Beautiful in October 2008 with an auction result of USD 116,500.00 (€ 91,862.48).
