Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Tulip Tree 2; Poplar Skeleton 2; Yellow Ginko 1; Yellow Acer 3; 1999 by Garry Fabian Miller was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2006, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 2,400.00 (€ 3,564.08). Admittedly, works by Garry Fabian Miller have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Northern Sun I September in March 2019 with an auction result of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,860.88).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Tulip Tree 2; Poplar Skeleton 2; Yellow Ginko 1; Yellow Acer 3; 1999 von Garry Fabian Miller im November 2006 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 2.400,00 (€ 3.564,08) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Garry Fabian Miller auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Northern Sun I September im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 18.860,88).
