A top price for Gao Yihong - as previously expected
The work Rooster by Gao Yihong was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2018. The price achieved of USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,151.09) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Rooster is the most expensive artwork by Gao Yihong that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Rooster von Gao Yihong kam im September 2018 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.500,00 (€ 2.151,09) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Rooster das teuerste Kunstwerk von Gao Yihong, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
