This artwork by Gao Yehou achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2012. In the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction, the work Plum Blossoms/Calligraphy sold for HKD 47,500.00 (€ 4,709.84) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gao Yehou have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Plum Blossoms in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 375,000.00 (€ 44,263.42).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gao Yehou erzielte im November 2012 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings wurde die Arbeit Plum Blossoms/Calligraphy für HKD 47.500,00 (€ 4.709,84) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gao Yehou auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Plum Blossoms im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 44.263,42).
