Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Five-character Calligraphic Couplet in Cursive Script by Gao Jianfu was sold in the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Paris in June this year. It achieved a price of HKD 69,300.00 (€ 8,097.69), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 16%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gao Jianfu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Moon Night in October 2021 with an auction result of HKD 4,560,000.00 (€ 507,236.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Five-character Calligraphic Couplet in Cursive Script von Gao Jianfu wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Paris versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 69.300,00 (€ 8.097,69) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 16%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gao Jianfu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Moon Night im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.560.000,00 (€ 507.236,84).
