The work Five-character Calligraphic Couplet in Cursive Script by Gao Jianfu was auctioned at Christies in New York in August this year. It achieved a price of HKD 94,500.00 (€ 11,116.11), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 35%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gao Jianfu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Moon Night in October 2021 with an auction result of HKD 4,560,000.00 (€ 507,236.84).

Die Arbeit Five-character Calligraphic Couplet in Cursive Script von Gao Jianfu kam im August diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 94.500,00 (€ 11.116,11) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 35%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gao Jianfu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Moon Night im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.560.000,00 (€ 507.236,84).
