The work Ducks in Spring by Gao Jianfu was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction at Christies in Cologne in May this year. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 403,200.00 (€ 48,327.99), 34% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gao Jianfu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Moon Night in October 2021 with an auction result of HKD 4,560,000.00 (€ 507,236.84).

Die Arbeit Ducks in Spring von Gao Jianfu wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings bei Christies in Köln versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 403.200,00 (€ 48.327,99) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gao Jianfu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Moon Night im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.560.000,00 (€ 507.236,84).
