Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2004 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Modern and Contemporary Chinese Paintings, which included the work Calligraphy In Cursive Script by Gao Jianfu. It changed hands for a price of HKD 33,460.00 (€ 3,370.68) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gao Jianfu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Moon Night in October 2021 with an auction result of HKD 4,560,000.00 (€ 507,236.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2004 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Modern and Contemporary Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy In Cursive Script von Gao Jianfu zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 33.460,00 (€ 3.370,68) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gao Jianfu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Moon Night im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.560.000,00 (€ 507.236,84).
