In the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Including Works from the Collection of Mahinder and Sharad Tak auction, the work The Deity sold for USD 32,760.00 (€ 29,532.14) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ganesh Pyne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Slumberland in March last year with an auction result of USD 529,200.00 (€ 477,057.60).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Ganesh Pyne erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Including Works from the Collection of Mahinder and Sharad Tak wurde die Arbeit The Deity für USD 32.760,00 (€ 29.532,14) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ganesh Pyne erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Slumberland im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 529.200,00 (€ 477.057,60).
