Auction result well in line with expectations
The work An Old Baul by Ganesh Pyne was sold in the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art auction at Christies in September 2021. The price achieved of USD 30,000.00 (€ 25,913.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ganesh Pyne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Slumberland in March last year with an auction result of USD 529,200.00 (€ 477,057.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit An Old Baul von Ganesh Pyne wurde im September 2021 in der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art bei Christies versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 25.913,45) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ganesh Pyne erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Slumberland im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 529.200,00 (€ 477.057,60).
