Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Galam Zulkifli was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 35,000.00 (€ 3,943.27) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Galam Zulkifli have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Communination Vs Communication (Seri Face Biografi) in October 2008 with an auction result of HKD 325,000.00 (€ 33,058.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Galam Zulkifli wurde im April 2016 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 35.000,00 (€ 3.943,27) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Galam Zulkifli auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Communination Vs Communication (Seri Face Biografi) im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 325.000,00 (€ 33.058,67).
