Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Gaetano Pompa achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Milan in May 2003. In the ARTE MODERNA E CONTEMPORANEA auction, the work Senza titolo sold for EUR 3,968.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gaetano Pompa - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mutmassungen Sul Paesaggio Italiano, which sold at auction in November 2004 for EUR 14,880.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gaetano Pompa erzielte im Mai 2003 bei Christies in Mailand einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion ARTE MODERNA E CONTEMPORANEA wurde die Arbeit Senza titolo für EUR 3.968,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Gaetano Pompa mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mutmassungen Sul Paesaggio Italiano beobachtet, die im November 2004 für EUR 14.880,00 versteigert wurde.
