Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Gaetano Pompa could be acquired at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the TWENTIETH CENTURY ART INCLUDING BELGIAN ART auction, the work La mia geisha dall' unicorno changed hands for EUR 1,800.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gaetano Pompa have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mutmassungen Sul Paesaggio Italiano in November 2004 with an auction result of EUR 14,880.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gaetano Pompa konnte im November 2005 bei Christies in Amsterdam für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion TWENTIETH CENTURY ART INCLUDING BELGIAN ART wechselte die Arbeit La mia geisha dall' unicorno für EUR 1.800,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gaetano Pompa auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mutmassungen Sul Paesaggio Italiano im November 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 14.880,00.
