The work Youth and Age: study of two heads by Gaetano Gandolfi was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2017. It achieved a price of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 13,948.08), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 56%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gaetano Gandolfi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Diana and Callisto in January 2010 with an auction result of USD 4,114,500.00 (€ 2,966,474.41).

Die Arbeit Youth and Age: study of two heads von Gaetano Gandolfi kam im Juli 2017 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 13.948,08) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 56%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gaetano Gandolfi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Diana and Callisto im Januar 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.114.500,00 (€ 2.966.474,41).
