Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Annunciation by Gaetano Gandolfi was auctioned at Christies in New York in April 2018. It changed hands for a price of USD 87,500.00 (€ 72,469.77) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gaetano Gandolfi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Diana and Callisto in January 2010 with an auction result of USD 4,114,500.00 (€ 2,966,474.41).

Die Arbeit The Annunciation von Gaetano Gandolfi kam im April 2018 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 72.469,77) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 70.000,00 – 90.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gaetano Gandolfi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Diana and Callisto im Januar 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.114.500,00 (€ 2.966.474,41).
