Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Four studies of heads by Gaetano Gandolfi was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2018. The price achieved of GBP 5,250.00 (€ 5,886.40) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gaetano Gandolfi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Diana and Callisto in January 2010 with an auction result of USD 4,114,500.00 (€ 2,966,474.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Four studies of heads von Gaetano Gandolfi kam im Juli 2018 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.250,00 (€ 5.886,40) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gaetano Gandolfi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Diana and Callisto im Januar 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.114.500,00 (€ 2.966.474,41).
