In the Old Master Paintings auction, the work Portrait Study Of A Young Boy In A Black Hat, Bust-Length sold for GBP 10,625.00 (€ 14,861.72) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gaetano Chierici achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L'ultimo nato in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 248,650.00 (€ 384,605.24).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Gaetano Chierici erzielte im Oktober 2015 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master Paintings wurde die Arbeit Portrait Study Of A Young Boy In A Black Hat, Bust-Length für GBP 10.625,00 (€ 14.861,72) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gaetano Chierici erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit L'ultimo nato im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 248.650,00 (€ 384.605,24).
