In December 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work Italian a Propitious Moment by Gaetano Chierici. The result of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 58,458.11) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gaetano Chierici have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work L'ultimo nato in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 248,650.00 (€ 384,605.24).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Dezember 2016 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Italian a Propitious Moment von Gaetano Chierici zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 50.000,00 (€ 58.458,11) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gaetano Chierici auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit L'ultimo nato im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 248.650,00 (€ 384.605,24).
